Charlton Place is a secluded, private family home, set within historic parkland only 10 minutes south of Canterbury. The grade II* listed mansion house is a serene and exclusive setting for a perfect wedding day. Each marriage is planned to meet the special wishes of the Bride and Groom, and is the only wedding hosted that day.
Civil Ceremonies take place in the impressive Regency Ballroom, dating from the early nineteenth century. Wedding Breakfasts can be for up to 80 seated guests or 100 for a Canapé Reception, and the Ballroom can be decorated with flowers in the chosen bridal colours. Guests arrive at the front door to be welcomed into the panelled Hall and Drawing Room, where they can assemble before a Civil Marriage. The Drawing Room is also suitable for intimate Wedding Breakfasts for up to 40 people. There is car parking across the drive throughout the year and additional parking on the lawns during summer months.
The lawns of Charlton Park provide beautiful settings for marquees, with receptions for up to 300 guests being located on the Croquet lawn, just below the front sweep of the drive. Parties for up to 120 guests can be located in a marquee immediately beside the house on the Reception Lawn by the snowdrop wood. Bar services can be provided in the main house or in a marquee.
